Parts Sourcing & Global Supply

Industrial parts sourcing for OEM equipment manufacturers and large projects: machined parts, fabrications, stampings, molded components and electromechanical assemblies, bought from suppliers we qualify ourselves and shipped with documentation that survives an audit.
What we source

Parts we buy on your behalf

Machined components, sheet metal and welded fabrications, stampings, castings, molded and extruded parts, fasteners and hardware, and electromechanical assemblies — quoted individually or as a consolidated package across several part numbers.
Quantity drives which suppliers are viable, how tooling is amortised and how inspection is sampled, so we quote against the quantity you actually run — prototype, pilot or ongoing production.

Process

How a part gets sourced

Six stages. Nothing ships before quality verification closes.
01

Requirement

Drawings, specs, revision level, annual volume, target price, schedule
02

Supplier Qualification

Drawings, specs, revision level, annual volume, target price, schedule
03

Sourcing & Quoting

Drawings, specs, revision level, annual volume, target price, schedule
04

Quality Verification

05

Logistics

Drawings, specs, revision level, annual volume, target price, schedule
06

A qualified supplier at the right volume costs less than a cheap one that fails PPAP. We source globally, and we quote landed cost — part price, freight, duty and the documentation your program requires.

Supplier qualification

We qualify the factory before we quote the part

Qualification record — maintained per supplier
ElementWhat we collect
Capability reviewEquipment list, process range, tolerance capability, in-house vs outsourced steps
Factory auditOn-site or documented audit; quality system, calibration, traceability practice
Capacity & financialShift capacity, current utilization, business references
Quality systemCertifications and registrar, scope of certification, expiry
Corrective actionDocumented CAR history and closure evidence

Documentation

Paper that holds up in a supplier audit

Documentation available per shipment
DocumentPurpose
Certificate of conformanceConfirms the lot was produced to the specified drawing and revision
Material certificationMill or resin certification traceable to heat or batch number
Lot traceability recordLinks finished lot to raw material, production date and inspection record
Counterfeit avoidanceAuthorized-source purchasing for electronic and branded components; no open-market brokering
Country-of-originOrigin statement and HTS classification support for customs entry
Inspection reportDimensional and functional results against the sampling plan
Quality assurance

How quality is verified when the factory is not ours

We do not ask you to take a supplier's word for it, and we do not ask you to take ours. Every partner is qualified against a documented standard before first article, and the evidence travels with the shipment.
Verification method — applied per program
QuestionHow we answer it
Is the supplier capable of this part?Capability review against the drawing before quote — process range, tolerance capability, and which steps are in-house versus outsourced
Is their quality system real?On-site or documented audit covering calibration records, traceability practice and non-conformance handling
What certifications apply to my part?Partner certifications are disclosed per program, with registrar and scope, so you can confirm the certificate actually covers the process running your part
What arrives with the shipment?Certificate of conformance, material certification traceable to heat or lot, and inspection results against the sampling plan
What happens when a lot fails?Formal corrective action with closure evidence provided to you, plus advance notice of any process, tooling or sub-tier change
Certifications

Quality system status

ISO 9001 — status TBC
IATF 16949 — status TBC
AS9100 — status TBC
ITAR registration — TBC
Partner certifications — TBC
Client input required — certifications
Publish only certifications BCI or its named partners actually hold, each with registrar, certificate number, scope and expiry date. Where a certification belongs to a manufacturing partner rather than to BCI, state that explicitly — procurement teams check. Do not list a standard as "compliant with" unless there is an audit record behind it.
Process

Tariff, customs and delivery to schedule

International sourcing only works if the landed cost and the paperwork are right.

Questions we get asked

Parts sourcing — common questions

Straight answers for procurement and engineering teams evaluating us as a supplier.

What is industrial parts sourcing?

Parts sourcing is buying production components on a manufacturer’s behalf: identifying and qualifying suppliers, quoting the part, verifying quality against the drawing, and managing freight and delivery. BCI acts as the supplier of record, so you issue one purchase order instead of managing several vendors.

Do you source parts internationally?

Yes. We source from qualified suppliers in North America and overseas, and provide country-of-origin documentation, HTS classification support and customs coordination for imported parts.

What quality documentation comes with a shipment?

Certificates of conformance, material certifications traceable to heat or lot, lot traceability records, dimensional inspection reports, and country-of-origin documentation — as your program requires.

How is BCI different from a parts broker?

Brokers resell inventory. BCI is an engineering company: our engineers read the drawing, qualify the process that makes the part, and own the documentation trail. We buy electronic and branded components through authorised sources only.

Can you hold inventory and release parts to our schedule?

Yes. Parts can be received and inspected at our Texas facility and released against your production schedule rather than shipped all at once.

What types of parts does BCI source?

Machined components, sheet metal and welded fabrications, stampings, castings, molded and extruded parts, fasteners and hardware, and electromechanical assemblies — including multi-part packages spanning several processes.

How do you qualify a supplier?

Before we place an order we review the supplier’s equipment and process capability, audit the factory on site or through documented evidence, check capacity and business references, and confirm the scope of their quality certifications.

Can you source a part from a drawing?

Yes. Send the drawing with its revision level, the quantity and your delivery schedule. An engineer reviews it for manufacturability before we quote, and will flag tolerances or material callouts that drive cost.

How do you avoid counterfeit parts?

We purchase electronic and branded components through authorised distribution and manufacturer channels rather than the open market, and we require traceability documentation back to the original manufacturer.

How do I request a quote?

Use the quote request form, or call 1-888-587-9340 Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm CST. Include part numbers, drawings, quantities and target timeline so an engineer can review before responding.

Have a part you need sourced at production volume?

Send the drawing, revision level and annual quantity. We will identify qualified suppliers and quote against your schedule.
